Classes on stone implements will cover the most iconic items used in our traditional culture such as poi pounders and stone bowls. Students will learn techniques used in the making and the choosing of the proper materials used for each of these cultural treasures.
Included as part of the eight week course covering stone implements we will offer classes on Papa Mū or Kōnane boards used in the most famous game played in ancient Hawai’i.
